RADIO CAREER
Joyce Curtis found success as a radio DJ and personality by delving deep into her own personal life, touching difficult subjects. Her tone struck a chord with listeners, leading to the launch of The Joyce Curtis Show in 2020. Curtis was inducted into the School Radio Hall of Fame that year, though she soon graduated from the medium to concentrate on her TV Show at DRTN.
At the outset, Joyce says, she “spoke too loud, too fast and too much,” a characteristic that was in sharp contrast to her older, more bookish sister Josette, a straight-A student who attended York College at the age of 16.
